Today, August 27, 2026, the SPUP SOM Medical Student Council officially welcomed the SPUPโSchool of Medicine community to the First General Assembly for A.Y. 2026โ2027 at the SP Building, First Year Room.
The assembly began with the presentation of the MD1 Batch Honoris, as they introduced their batch and shared their plans and initiatives for the academic year. As the newest members of the SPUPโSchool of Medicine community, their presentation marked the beginning of their journey as a batch and reflected their enthusiasm to actively participate in the community.
Following this, the newly appointed Medical Student Council officers and members were formally introduced and welcomed into their respective roles and responsibilities. The assembly also served as an avenue to establish a shared vision and direction for the academic year ahead.
The council then presented a review of its accomplishments, activities, and initiatives from the previous academic year, giving the student body an overview of the work accomplished in service of the medical student community. This was followed by a presentation of the MSC budget and financial plans, emphasizing transparency, accountability, and responsible management of council resources.
The MSC also presented its proposed activities, projects, and initiatives for A.Y. 2026โ2027, giving students a glimpse of what lies ahead and what the council has prepared for the academic year.
As we officially begin this new chapter, the Medical Student Council remains committed to fostering student leadership, collaboration, transparency, accountability, and service. With the support and active participation of the entire student body, may this academic year be filled with meaningful initiatives, stronger connections, and shared achievements.
