The Stimulation Therapeutic Activity Center (STAC) successfully held its annual STAC FUNDay 2026 on July 21, 2026, at SM City Tuguegarao,in support of the celebration of the 48th National Disability Rights Week. The activity was made possible through the continued support, approval, and commitment of Hon. The children then enjoyed the Cinema Experience, with some watching a movie inside a cinema for the very first time. It was a memorable experience that brought excitement not only to the children but also to their parents. Seeing the children enjoy the movie together created moments that many families will always cherish.
During the Lunch Fellowship, everyone shared a meal together, giving parents, guests, and STAC personnel time to interact in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. It was also an opportunity for families to meet one another and strengthen the bond within the STAC community.
The fun continued during the Arcade Experience, where the children excitedly tried different games and celebrated every little achievement. Aside from the enjoyment it brought, the activity encouraged confidence, coordination, and social interaction while allowing the children to simply enjoy being kids.
The celebration ended with the Closing Program, highlighted by the appearance of the Jollibee Mascot. The children excitedly danced, hugged the mascot, and posed for photos. Their joy was evident throughout the activity. Parents also expressed their appreciation, saying that the event gave their children wonderful experiences, helped them become more confident, and created happy memories that they would always treasure.
Overall, STAC FUNDay 2026 was more than just a day of recreation. It gave the children opportunities to make friends, try new experiences, and enjoy activities that many of them do not often experience. More importantly, it reminded everyone that every child deserves to be included, celebrated, and given the chance to enjoy childhood.
The successful conduct of STAC FUNDay 2026 was made possible through the continued support of the City Government of Tuguegarao under the leadership of Hon. Mayor Maila Rosario Ting-Que. Together with the collective efforts of partner organizations, sponsors, parents and guardians, and the dedicated STAC personnel, the activity became a meaningful celebration of inclusion, hope, and shared joy for every participating child and family.
Indeed, STAC FUNDay 2026 truly lived up to its theme, "Joy Without Barriers: Celebrating Rights and Inclusion." More than the games, gifts, and activities, it gave every participating child the opportunity to feel included, build confidence, create lasting memories, and experience the joy of simply being a child. Through programs like this, STAC continues to complement its Physical Therapy services by providing meaningful opportunities that help children with disabilities reach their fullest potential and become active, confident, and valued members of the community.
