Hi there!
Because I’m a vlogger, I want to vlog this experience… flying business class is not my norm. Actually, this is only my second time flying business, and my first time with my hubby. I didn’t even know he booked business class!
So here’s how the experience went:
We all know that business class passengers get priority, so it’s such a relief to skip the long queues. Upon check-in, there are special lounges for business class with unlimited food and drinks. During boarding, we were the first to board, and they immediately offered us a welcome drink of our choice. There were already snacks waiting at our seats, and they kept offering more throughout the flight.
On our trip to Dubai, the flight attendant even gave me two sets of amenity kits containing travel essentials. For the entire trip, we enjoyed full-course meals with three main course options — all delicious.
What wins for me? You rest like a baby because you get a fully flat bed. You won’t even miss your own bed. And during layovers, the lounges are full of food again, and you can even take a shower.
Another perk: Wi-Fi is included, so we could stay connected. So, even while we were in the sky, I did some mentoring for OPD. On our way back home, being in business class meant we could request airport transfers from the airline — so my husband booked a chauffeur service.
The return trip was pretty much the same… except we weren’t connected to Wi-Fi this time. But they had an onboard lounge where you could have drinks with family and friends.
The price is almost double economy, but it’s worth the experience and comfort — especially as you get older. For me, though, I won’t always fly business class because I really want to keep traveling… mamumulubi tayo 😂 Actually, I’m a backpacker at heart. I find cheap deals just to travel, and I don’t buy things unless they’re essential. I just collect one souvenir from each country.
Actually, during my vacation, it’s only the environment that changes. From Monday to Saturday, I still wake up at 3:30–4:00 AM — because it’s Europe and we have a 6-hour time difference — to mentor my two mentees back home at our clinic, Family EYE Wellness Center. Yes, I’m still working, so when I get home, I already have patients scheduled for surgery.
That’s the cycle of my life — clinic and tending to our other businesses for 6–8 weeks, then taking a break from the clinic without taking a break from my patients.
So, let’s explore the world. Work smart, travel smarter, and share the experience!!!
