August 4, 2026|PUROKALUSUGAN 2026: Bringing Quality Health Services Closer to the Community π
Our hearts are filled with gratitude as we celebrate the successful conduct of today's Large-Scale Purokalusugan in Barangay Cebuano. Through the collective efforts of our partners, volunteers, and the community, we were able to provide essential health services to our residents.
A total of 112 individuals availed of the Mobile X-ray, 21 underwent HIV testing, 31 pregnant women received oral examinations, 5 clients availed of family planning services, 10 women underwent VIA screening, 54 received fasting/random blood sugar testing, 14 availed of urinalysis, 5 had blood typing, 118 consulted for medical check-ups, 51 received eye examinations, 167 completed NCD risk assessments and YAKAP enrollment, and 5 children received catch-up immunization.
This meaningful activity would not have been possible without the invaluable support of our partners. We sincerely thank the OPHO Communicable Disease Cluster, RHU Tupi headed by Dr. Mary Janet T. Marcelino, DOH-HRH, Paciente Optical, and Taisho for sharing their expertise and resources in making quality healthcare accessible to our community.
Our deepest appreciation also goes to the BLGU Cebuano, led by Hon. Noel S. Dela Cruz, for generously funding this activity and for providing a sumptuous snacks and lunch for all the personnel and volunteers. We are equally grateful to our dedicated Barangay Cebuano Health Team and Navigators, as well as the hardworking SEAIT Criminology Interns, whose commitment, teamwork, and passion for public service ensured the success of this undertaking.
To everyone who participated and availed of our services, thank you for making your health a priority. Together, we continue to build a healthier, stronger, and more resilient Barangay Cebuano. We look forward to serving you again in our future community health activities.
