Toilet Distribution Activity as part of the ongoing ZOD Program successfully conducted for beneficiaries in Barangay Acmonan

Toilet Bowl were distributed to beneficiaries to support proper sanitation, promote good hygiene, and improve living conditions within the community.

On Behalf of Barangay Acmonan Headed By. Pb. . Daniel R Aguinaldo and to the Kagawad On Health Annabelle Piang Tialang and also We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Municipal Councilor Hon. Rebb Tamayo for being the Sponsor of toilet bowls to beneficiaries and thank you so much for your time and suport for this ZOD program also to RHU TUPI under the MESU office Maam Mary Grace Bacalanmo SI/ DSO for the all time support, effort and Time for this Program and among all to everyone who contributed to the success of this activity Midwives, BHW, BSI, BHW, Health Navigators and to all beneficiaries for their cooperation and participation.

PUROKALUSUGAN AT BARANGAY ACMONAN

As part of the continuing community health promotion program, the PuroKalusugan team together with DOH HRH Tupi conducted a community-based health activity in Barangay Acmonan, Tupi, South Cotabato. The activity aimed to strengthen public awareness and promote healthy practices related to WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene), Nutrition, and Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs).

The team conducted house-to-house visits focusing on WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) at Purok 6, Purok 7 and Sitio Saging , also conducted IEC about Nutrition tackled about proper food Nutrition and breastfeeding also Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) awareness with RBS testing and health consultation

Activities Conducted

1. House-to-House Visit for WASH Program
-Information dissemination on Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) was conducted.
Topics included:
Proper waste disposal and sanitation
Environmental cleanliness

2. Nutrition Awareness
-Nutrition counseling and education were provided, focusing on:
Balanced diet and healthy food choices
Proper nutrition for children and adults
Prevention of malnutrition
Importance of eating nutritious and locally available food

3. Non-Communicable Disease (NCD) Awareness
The team discussed prevention and management of common NCDs including:
Hypertension
Diabetes
Healthy lifestyle practices
Importance of regular monitoring and check-ups
Residents were encouraged to adopt healthier habits such as regular exercise, healthy eating, and avoiding smoking and excessive alcohol consumption.

4.Medical Check-up
- Ensuring the client have a proper prevention, medication and healthy lifestyle in preventing of any diseases.

Daniel R Aguinaldo and Committee on Health Annabelle Piang Tialang We would like to thank the PUROKALUSUGAN TEAM With the Help of DOH- HRH Tupi for ensuring the accessibility of Health services in the community also to all the helping Hand, Midwives, Nurses, BHW, BNS, BSI thank you so much.

The activity successfully reached and educated several households in Barangay Acmonan. Residents actively participated during the discussions and expressed appreciation for the information and services provided. The activity enhanced community awareness regarding sanitation, nutrition, and prevention of non-communicable diseases.

A barangay-level validation for the Zero Open Defecation (ZOD) was conducted at Sitio Dataltah and Purok 5 in collaboration with the Technical Working Group (TWG) of ZOD.

Together with the TWG of ZOD, this activity was led by PB. Daniel R. Aguinaldo, with the support of District Kagawad Romeo Masalon, Kagawad on Health Annabelle Tialang, and Sitio Chairmans, BHW assigned, BNS, BSI, Health Navigators , DOH- HRH midwives and most expecially thank you to our MESU- SI/ DSO Maam Mary Grace Bacalanmo, RM

This initiative highlights our continued commitment to ensure proper implementation of ZOD programs and strengthen coordination among our local leaders for the betterment of the community
