This is a global initiative dedicated to raising awareness about the signs and symptoms of this serious pregnancy complication to improve early detection and save lives, not only for you but also your little one.

Maglulunsad ng Thyroid Surgery Outreach Program ang Eastern Bicol Medical Center sa lalawigan ng Catanduanes mula Abril 13 hanggang 17, 2026 bilang bahagi ng Saint Cosmas and Damian Project ng ospital.

Layunin ng programa na makapagbigay ng ligtas at de-kalidad na serbisyong pang-operasyon sa mga pasyenteng may thyroid tumors, goiter at thyroid nodules.

Bilang paghahanda sa naturang operasyon, magsasagawa muna ng screening ang ospital sa Outpatient Department o OPD ng EBMC sa mga sumusunod na petsa ngayong Marso: ika-3, 5, 10, 12, 17, 19, 20, 24, 26 at 27 mula alas-8 ng umaga hanggang alas-2 ng hapon.

Pinapayuhan ang mga pasyenteng posibleng sumailalim sa thyroidectomy na magdala ng resulta ng kanilang mga naunang diagnostic procedures tulad ng thyroid ultrasound o Thyroid UTZ, thyroid function tests kabilang ang FT3, FT4 at TSH, at Fine Needle Aspiration Biopsy o FNAB.

Ayon sa pamunuan ng ospital, ang nasabing outreach program ay bahagi ng patuloy na pagsisikap ng EBMC na mailapit sa publiko ang mahahalagang serbisyong medikal at mapalawak ang access sa dekalidad na pangangalagang pangkalusugan sa lalawigan. | via Juriz Dela Rosa

How Is Chronic Cough Related to ENT Problems?

Not all coughs are lung-related! Chronic cough (lasting >8 weeks) may be linked to ENT issues such as:
🔸 Post-nasal drip
🔸 Allergies
🔸 Acid reflux (LPR)
🔸 Vocal cord irritation
🔸 Throat lumps or masses

If cough persists despite treatment, consult your ENT for a full airway evaluation.
