Patuloy ang pag-ulan sa iba't ibang bahagi ng bansa, kaya nananatiling mataas ang panganib ng dengue. Ugaliing gawin ang Taob, Taktak, Tuyo, at Takip upang maiwasan ang pagdami ng lamok at alisin ang mga naipong tubig sa paligid ng bahay.

Kung ikaw o miyembro ng inyong pamilya ay may lagnat, lalo na kung may kasamang matinding sakit ng ulo, pananakit ng katawan, pagsusuka, o pagkakaroon ng pantal, magpatingin agad sa pinakamalapit na health facility. Ang maagang pagpapatingin at tamang gamutan ay mahalaga upang maiwasan ang malubhang komplikasyon ng dengue.

Habang patuloy ang pag-ulan, sama-sama nating panatilihing malinis ang ating kapaligiran at maging alerto sa mga sintomas ng dengue.

DOH: ISANG LAMOK, PUWEDENG MANGITLOG NG HUMIGIT-KUMULANG ISANG DAAN SA NAIPONG TUBIG DULOT NG TYPHOON

Dahil sa tuloy-tuloy na pag-ulan, maaaring maipon ang tubig sa mga balde, drum, paso, alulod, kanal, gulong, lata, garapon, at bote. Dito maaaring mangitlog ang lamok at dumami ang mga kiti-kiti.

Kapag ligtas nang gawin, tanggalin ang naiipong tubig at gawin ang Taob, Taktak, Tuyo, at Takip upang maiwasan ang pagdami ng lamok sa loob at paligid ng bahay.

Maghanda sa bagyo. Linisin ang paligid. Iwasan ang dengue.

𝐎𝐅𝐅𝐈𝐂𝐈𝐀𝐋 𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐓𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓 𝐎𝐍 𝐃𝐄𝐍𝐆𝐔𝐄 𝐓𝐄𝐒𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐑𝐄𝐅𝐄𝐑𝐑𝐀𝐋

The Eastern Bicol Medical Center (EBMC) would like to clarify information circulating on social media regarding the availability of dengue test kits and the referral of some patients to the Virac Rural Health Unit (RHU).

EBMC continues to have Dengue NS1 test kits available. What was temporarily depleted was our supply of Dengue Duo test kits, due to the significant increase in patients being evaluated for suspected dengue.

We emphasize that Dengue Duo is an additional diagnostic test and is not the sole basis for the diagnosis or management of dengue. Not every patient with suspected dengue requires hospital admission. Patients who are clinically stable and have no warning signs or other indications for confinement may be appropriately managed on an outpatient basis with supportive treatment, hydration, appropriate laboratory monitoring, and close follow-up.

Thus, patients assessed at the EBMC Emergency Room who do not require immediate confinement may be referred to the Virac RHU for continued outpatient care, monitoring, and access to the additional Dengue Duo test while it is temporarily unavailable through our usual arrangements.

Patients who require admission based on their clinical condition are admitted and managed at EBMC.

We are pleased to inform the public that 10 boxes of Dengue Duo test kits are expected to arrive on August 19, 2026, which will replenish our supply.

EBMC remains committed to providing appropriate assessment, diagnostic testing, treatment, monitoring, and admission when clinically indicated. We issue this statement to provide accurate information and to prevent unnecessary concern regarding the availability of dengue services at EBMC.
