THALASSEMIA AWARENESS SESSION REPORT

Venue: COMWAVE Abbottabad (Sarhad University Branch)
Time: 11:30 AM – 1:30 PM

Alhamdulillah, a successful Thalassemia Awareness Session was organized by Hajira Hamza Foundation Thalassemia Center at COMWAVE Abbottabad.

The program commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Mr. Rukhsar Rajpoot, District Coordinator Abbottabad. Following the recitation, Mr. Jawad Iqbal, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Hajra Hamza Foundation, delivered a comprehensive awareness briefing to the participants.

During his presentation, he highlighted the causes, prevention, and challenges associated with Thalassemia, while emphasizing the critical importance of voluntary blood donation in supporting Thalassemia patients. He also encouraged students to actively participate in humanitarian and community service initiatives.

The session was attended by approximately 30 students, who showed keen interest and active engagement throughout the program.

Hajira Hamza Foundation is pleased to share that our Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Jawad Iqbal Tanoli, successfully attended a comprehensive two-day training on the Federal and Provincial Regulatory Landscape for NPOs, organized by the Pakistan Centre for Philanthropy (P*P).
This intensive training covered key areas including non-profit governance, legal registration frameworks, taxation (Sections 2(36), 61, 100C, 159), compliance requirements, foreign funding procedures (EAD), banking regulations, and provincial commission guidelines.
The knowledge and practical insights gained from this program will play a vital role in strengthening our institutional capacity, enhancing transparency, and improving overall operational effectiveness.
We are confident that these learnings will be effectively implemented to further improve our services and contribute positively to our mission of serving humanity.
