*VISIT REPORT*
Dr. Jamshed Saeed Sherani, Regional Director General Health Services, Malakand Region, visited *Miangul Abdul Haq Jahanzeb Kidney Hospital, Swat,* on 09-04-2026, along with Dr. Shaukat Salim, Medical Superintendent of the said hospital.
During the visit, the RDG conducted a thorough inspection of various sections of the hospital, including wards, OPD, ICU, laboratory, pathology lab, radiology unit, and dialysis unit. He also interacted with patients and inquired about the quality of services being provided, as well as with staff regarding service delivery.
The cleanliness of the hospital was found satisfactory, and staff attendance was observed to be complete. The RDG appreciated the availability of services in the Nephrology, Urology, and Medicine wards, as well as the overall performance of the Medical Superintendent.
The RDG advised that duty roster notifications issued by the Health Department, particularly regarding 36-hour duty compliance, must be strictly followed. He further directed that, where required, additional staff may be provided, especially for female staff.
The Medical Superintendent highlighted staff shortages and informed that due to the heavy workload of dialysis patients, the dialysis unit is operating round the clock, which may occasionally affect functionality. The RDG advised that one shift of dialysis may be kept off/closed to manage workload efficiently.
Overall, patients expressed satisfaction with the services being provided at the hospital.
