Advancing rehabilitation through innovation and evidence-based practice.

An interactive session on Photobiomodulation Therapy (PBMT) was conducted on campus to enhance students’ understanding of modern therapeutic interventions in physical therapy and rehabilitation sciences. The activity provided practical insight into the clinical applications, therapeutic effects, and role of PBMT in pain modulation, tissue healing, and recovery.

A valuable learning experience promoting clinical skills, research awareness, and hands-on exposure for future healthcare professionals.

“Pressure Mapping Simulation Activity – Integumentary Physical Therapy”

DPT 9th Semester students conducted a practical pressure mapping simulation to understand pressure distribution over different support surfaces. Students compared sitting on a hard chair versus a cushioned surface, identified key bony prominences including the ischial tuberosities and sacrum, predicted areas of maximum pressure, and analyzed how immersion and envelopment influence pressure redistribution and skin protection.

This activity enhanced students’ understanding of pressure injury prevention, seating biomechanics, and support surface selection in clinical rehabilitation settings.
