میں تو اس وقت سے ڈرتا ہوں کہ وہ پوچھ نہ لے
یہ اگر ضبط کا آنسو ہے تو ٹپکا کیسے

یاد کے قصر ہیں ، امید کی قندیلیں ہیں
میں نے آباد کیے درد کے صحرا کیسے

اس لیے صرف خدا سے ہے تخاطب میرا
میرے جذبات کو سمجھے گا فرشتہ کیسے

ذہن میں نت نئے بت ڈھال کے یہ دیکھتا ہوں
بت کدے کو وہ بنا لیتا ہے کعبہ کیسے

اس کی قدرت نے میرا راستہ روکا ہوگا
پوچھ مجھ سے کہ قیامت ہوئی برپا کیسے

گر سمندر ہی سے دریاﺅں کا رزق آتا ہے
اس کے سینے میں اتر جاتے ہیں دریا کیسے

ٹوٹتی رات نے سورج سے یہ سرگوشی کی
میں نہ ہوتی تو تیرا اندر برستا کیسے
