🌐 Building Digital Health Capacity for Community-Based Health Services

"Strengthening digital health systems starts with building the capacity of the people who use them."

With the support of UNICEF, HISP Pakistan brought together provincial teams from Baluchistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for a five-day Training of Trainers (ToT) on the LHW Tracker, held from 27–31 July 2026 at the HISP Pakistan Head Office in Islamabad.

The training provided participants with practical, hands-on experience in using the DHIS2-based LHW Tracker, covering data entry, household and community-level information, maternal and child health services, logistics, supervisory activities, reporting, data visualization, dashboards, and data quality checks.

A key focus of the ToT was to equip provincial teams with the knowledge and practical skills needed to further train and support frontline teams in their respective provinces.

📊 From better data entry to better data use, the LHW Tracker is helping strengthen the digital foundation for community health services.

🤝 Strengthening Partnerships for Learning, Innovation & Research

We are pleased to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between HISP-Pakistan and the Department of Biosciences, Shifa Tameer-e-Millat University (STMU).

This collaboration strengthens the link between academic learning and professional practice and creates opportunities for knowledge exchange, skill development, capacity building, and collaborative research.

We believe that meaningful partnerships with academic institutions are essential to nurture emerging talent, encourage innovation, and build practical skills that respond to the evolving needs of the health sector.

Through this partnership, we look forward to engaging with the students and faculty of the Department of Biosciences and supporting opportunities that connect education, research, and real-world experience.

Strengthening digital health starts with collaboration.

HISP Pakistan was honored to facilitate a two-day Consultative Workshop on Interoperability & Digital System Integration for One Health in Karachi, with the support of JSI.

As the technical partner, HISP Pakistan is committed to advancing interoperable digital health ecosystems that connect human, and Animal health systems. By enabling seamless data exchange and integration, we are helping strengthen disease surveillance, improve outbreak preparedness, and support evidence-based decision-making.

The workshop brought together key stakeholders to discuss interoperability frameworks, digital integration strategies, and the future of a connected One Health ecosystem. The valuable insights and collaborative discussions will contribute to building more resilient and data-driven public health systems in Pakistan.

We extend our sincere appreciation to all participants, partners, and collaborators for their active engagement and shared commitment to transforming health information systems.

Strengthening Digital Health Capacity in ICT
HISP Pakistan successfully concluded a five-day Training of Trainers (ToT) for the ICT Health Department on the DHIS2 based Health Information & Management System (HIMS).
The training provided comprehensive, hands-on exposure to end-to-end system components, including:
🔹 Web-based and offline mobile data collection
🔹 DHIS2 system configuration and metadata setup
🔹 Health data management and quality assurance
🔹 Data visualization, analytics, and dashboard design
The closing and certificate distribution ceremony was honored by the presence of DHO Islamabad, Dr. Syeda Rashid, Dr. Johar from UNICEF, and Mr. Adnan Basir, CEO-HISP Pakistan. Certificates were distributed by the DHO Islamabad, who also appreciated the collaborative efforts in strengthening digital health capacity within the ICT.
