Shifa Center of Professional Excellence (SCOPE) successfully conducted the Neonatal Resuscitation Courses during the month of May 2026 at Shifa International Hospitals Ltd., Islamabad.
The courses were held under the leadership of Dr. Shehla Choudary, Chief of Neonatology, along with the dedicated faculty of the Department of Pediatrics and Neonatology, who delivered a comprehensive learning experience through expert-led lectures, interactive discussions, hands-on practical sessions, clinical skills assessments, and pre- and post-course evaluations.
The training focused on enhancing participants’ ability to recognize newborns requiring resuscitation at birth, perform effective airway management and bag-mask ventilation, understand the appropriate use of medications during neonatal resuscitation, and confidently apply evidence-based resuscitation techniques in clinical settings.
Participants actively engaged in simulation-based learning, practical demonstrations, and skill stations designed to strengthen clinical competence, improve teamwork during neonatal emergencies, and promote safer outcomes for newborn patients.
We extend our sincere appreciation to the faculty members, organizers, and participants for their dedication and commitment to advancing neonatal care. Their active involvement contributed significantly to the success of this important educational activity and to the ongoing mission of improving patient safety and healthcare quality.
