💥At least PMDC should announce the equivalency formula for 2025 MDCAT results; otherwise, fresh students and repeaters having low marks in the 2025 MDCAT are going to suffer.✅

I am a fresh MDCAT 2026 candidate highlighting a critical merit issue. Under PMDC rules, MDCAT results remain valid for three years. Many repeaters with high 2025 scores will compete directly against fresh 2026 candidates using old marks, creating an unfair imbalance.

A precedent already exists: in 2021, when PMC allowed 2020 MDCAT scores for 2021 admissions, PMC implemented a formal equivalency formula to adjust scores fairly before merit compilation, and High Courts ruled that such equivalency formula did not contradict the PMC Act. This confirms that PMDC Act similarly does not restrict PMDC from introducing an equivalency formula — it is legally permissible. I respectfully request PMDC to adopt the same approach for 2026.

Crucially, PMDC should announce before MDCAT 2026 that an equivalency formula will be applied for candidates seeking admission on previous MDCAT results. This ensures transparency and allows informed decision-making.It may be treated as urgent.
