π¨ Doctors deserve safety, dignity, and fair treatment, not illegal penalties.
If a doctor meets with a road accident while traveling for duty, how can they be held responsible for not informing the administration a day earlier? Accidents are unforeseen events, not planned absences. Deducting PKR 50,000 from a doctor for circumstances beyond their control raises serious legal and ethical concerns.
We respectfully urge the Government of Punjab, Health Department, PMDC, and relevant authorities to take immediate notice of such policies. Any deduction from salaries must be in accordance with labor laws, service rules, and principles of natural justice. Doctors who are already serving under immense pressure should be supported during emergencies, not punished.
Healthcare professionals save lives every day. They deserve protection, respect, and lawful treatment.
