Karachi Metropolitan University (KMU) in collaboration with Karachi Medical and Surgical Society (K-MSS), proudly presents an upcoming USMLE session. This will be an interactive session focused on clearing common misconceptions about the USMLE, understanding student perceptions, and guiding you in the right direction. Considering that only 7 students from KMDC matched this year, this session is a valuable opportunity for all those planning electives, aiming for the upcoming match, and most importantly for students who are still confused about whether to choose the USMLE pathway or not.

Skyler Kanegi is a fourth-year medical student at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, applying into child neurology.In 2020, he was awarded the Frontiers in Headache Research Scholarship Award for his work developing and characterizing a preclinical model of sleep disruption-induced migraine. He is currently using this model to identify potential transcriptomic mechanisms of migraine and test two experimental drugs. He has also conducted research on how geography, race, and gender identity affect access to neurological care and health outcomes. He plans to continue developing clinical and basic science skills as a future clinician-scientist
