آج (World Hepatitis Day) عالمی یومِ ہیپاٹائٹس کے موقع پر الخدمت کراچی اور پاکستان اسلامک میڈیکل ایسوسی ایشن (PIMA) کے اشتراک سے کراچی کے مختلف الخدمت اسپتالوں میں عالمی یومِ ہیپاٹائٹس کا دن منایا گیا. الخدمت کراچی کے مختلف اسپتالوں میں آگاہی پروگرامز، سیمینارز، واکس اور تعلیمی سیشنز کا انعقاد کیا گیا۔ ان سرگرمیوں کا مقصد عوام میں ہیپاٹائٹس سے متعلق شعور بیدار کرنا، بروقت تشخیص کی اہمیت اجاگر کرنا اور اس بیماری سے بچاؤ کے مؤثر طریقوں سے آگاہ کرنا تھا۔

الخدمت کراچی کے میڈیکل ڈائریکٹر ہیلتھ سروسز ڈاکٹر ثاقب حسین انصاری نے اپنے پیغام میں کہا کہ دنیا بھر کی طرح پاکستان میں بھی آج 28 جولائی کو عالمی یومِ ہیپاٹائٹس منایا جا رہا ہے۔ اس دن کو منانے کا مقصد عوام میں ہیپاٹائٹس جیسی خطرناک بیماری کے بارے میں آگاہی پیدا کرنا، بروقت تشخیص کی اہمیت اجاگر کرنا اور اس کے پھیلاؤ کو روکنے کے لیے احتیاطی تدابیر اختیار کرنے پر زور دینا ہے۔ الخدمت کراچی کے میڈیکل سروسز ڈائریکٹر ڈاکٹر ثاقب حسین انصاری نے اپنے خصوصی پیغام میں کہا کہ "ہیپاٹائٹس ایک خاموش مگر انتہائی خطرناک بیماری ہے جو بروقت تشخیص نہ ہونے کی صورت میں جگر کے شدید نقصان اور کینسر کا باعث بن سکتی ہے-
ڈاکٹر ثاقب حسین انصاری" نے مزید کہا کہ عوام کو چاہیے کہ وہ اس مرض سے بچاؤ کے لیے احتیاطی تدابیر اپنائیں، جن میں محفوظ خون کا استعمال، غیر محفوظ انجیکشنز سے پرہیز، ذاتی اشیاء کا اشتراک نہ کرنا اور مستند لیبارٹریز سے باقاعدہ ٹیسٹ کروانا شامل ہیں۔ڈاکٹر ثاقب انصاری کا کہنا تھا کہ "ویکسینیشن، احتیاط اور بروقت ٹیسٹ ہی ہیپاٹائٹس سے بچاؤ کے مؤثر طریقے ہیں۔ الخدمت فاؤنڈیشن ملک بھر میں اس مرض کے خلاف آگاہی اور علاج کے لیے اپنی خدمات جاری رکھے ہوئے ہے۔"انہوں نے عوام سے اپیل کی کہ وہ اپنے اور اپنے پیاروں کے بہتر مستقبل کے لیے آج ہی ہیپاٹائٹس کا ٹیسٹ کروائیں تاکہ ایک صحت مند معاشرہ تشکیل دیا جا سکے۔ ہیپاٹائٹس خاموش قاتل ہے۔آگاہی،احتیاط اور بروقت علاج ہیپاٹائٹس سے پاک پاکستان کی ضمانت"
