MTG opened it's first independent store in 1997 at Taman Anggrek Mall, Jakarta, and named it Puri Ayu.The name Puri Ayu, which means “the castle of beauty”, was inspired by MTG’s own Sari Ayu brand. Up to 2007 PuriAyu had expanded their outlet into in major shopping malls and countries. On third quarter of 2009 the new concept store was opened at the Taman Anggrek Mall.
