Fauji Foundation Hospital Lahore celebrated Pakistan Independence Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit. Administrator Brigadier Tahir Farooq, along with the administration team and doctors, joined the celebrations, proudly carrying and waving the national flags. Fauji Foundation Hospital Lahore remains committed to promoting health awareness through such educational initiatives.
On 5th August 2026, in continuation of World Breastfeeding Week, Pediatrician Dr. Kamran Qureshi, conducted individual counseling sessions with mothers attending the Pediatric OPD at Fauji Foundation Hospital Lahore. He emphasized the importance of breastfeeding and proper lactation for the healthy growth and development of infants. While attending his routine OPD, he dedicated extra time to encourage and motivate mothers to exclusively breastfeed their young babies. The session highlighted the lifelong benefits of breastfeeding for both mother and child.

Fauji Foundation Hospital Lahore commenced World Breastfeeding Week today,with an awareness session in the Pediatric Department. Mothers were educated on the importance of exclusive breastfeeding for newborns and its benefits for healthy growth and development. They were also encouraged to initiate breastfeeding early and continue it as recommended. Additional awareness activities and educational sessions are planned throughout the week. Fauji Foundation Hospital Lahore remains committed to promoting maternal and child health through community education.

On the occasion of World Lung Cancer Day, Fauji Foundation Hospital Lahore organized a health awareness session in the General OPD. Dr. Mohsin Rasheed, Pulmonologist, delivered an informative lecture to patients, highlighting the importance of maintaining healthy lungs and raising awareness about lung cancer.

During the session, Dr. Mohsin, discussed the major risk factors for lung cancer, including to***co use, smoking, exposure to harmful pollutants, and other unhealthy lifestyle habits. He emphasized that neglecting lung health and continued exposure to these risk factors have contributed to the rising incidence of lung cancer in Pakistan. He also encouraged patients to adopt healthy lifestyles, avoid to***co in all forms, and seek timely medical advice if they experience persistent respiratory symptoms.
