On 22nd March 2022, The Provincial TB Control Program Primary & Secondary Healthcare Department Government of Punjab in collaboration with World Health Organization Pakistan organized World TB Days seminar in District Hafizabad. Seminar was Chaired by Deputy Commissioner Hafizabad Mr. Asif Raza. Dr Palitha Mahipala WR Pakistan along with other TB Dignitaries participated in the event. During his speech the WR praised Punjab Province for arranging World TB Day in the district. He reaffirmed WHO support to TB Control efforts in Punjab/ Pakistan. He highlighted that Pakistan being the 5th among 30 high TB burden countries in the world. WHO stands together with Department of Health Punjab and Provincial TB Program in its fight against TB. He appreciated the efforts of leadership of District administration in their efforts for health care delivery in the district.

A Grand seminar was conducted by Provincial TB Control Program Punjab in DG Khan Medical College to commemorate World Tb Day 2022 on 28th of March 2022. The event was chaired by the Mr. Liaqat Ali Chattha Commissioner DG Khan division. The seminar was being attended by medical students, medical teaching faculty, nurses and para medical staff. Mr. Liaqat Ali Chatha, Commissioner DG Khan Division committed to ensure district support in initiation of DRTB Decentralized services in DG Khan.

On World TB Day-2022, Provincial TB Control Program in collaboration with DOPASI Foundation and Stop TB illuminated the Iconic WAPDA House Lahore to create awareness around TB disease and brings the attention of the world to the theme of the World TB Day 2022- Invest to end TB, Save Lives. Commissioner Lahore Capt (R) Muhammad Usman Younis grace the event as Chief Guest to put the spotlight on TB under the world TB Day 2022 theme - ‘Invest to End TB. Save Lives’ to convey the urgent need to invest resources to ramp up the fight against TB and achieve the commitments to end TB made by global leaders.
