So basically there are 3 different options to replace your missing teeth.
1. Dentures are removable, made of either acrylic or silicone. Take support from adjacent teeth but do not require cutting of adjacent teeth.
2. Bridge is fixed prosthesis and it requires cutting of two adjacent teeth.
3. Implant is Gold standard for replacing missing teeth. These are Titanium metal screws which are placed inside the bone and they actually replace the root of a missing tooth. These are fixed and donot require support from missing teeth
