Kashmir Surgical & General Hospital, Poultry farm road, Muzaffarabab, Azad Kashmir is a complete hospital in the heart of capital city of Azad Kashmir.

Kashmir Surgical Hospital, Muzaffarabad
• This hospital was established in 1990 in a rented building which was latter on purchased by PIMA Markaz to fulfil the medical needs of Kashmiri refugees.
• In 2004-2005 a new building was constructed for this hospital by PIMA Markaz which was severely damaged in Oct 2005 earthquake.
• In spite of multiple difficulties, Alhamdolillah reconstruction and deve

lopment of a complete and modern hospital was completed by the end of 2013 with the collaboration of local PIMA team.

PIMA Muzaffarabad and Senior faculty forum of Muzaffarabad held a
condolences Reference today at Neelam view hotel Muzaffarabad in memory of our dear fellows Dr. Abdul Haleem, Dr Zahid Hussain and Dr Mufakir ul Islam who left this world recently.
It was well attended by senior faculty members and family members and some friends of the deceased fellows.
They included Abdul Majid khan (chairman Public Accounts Committee), Raja Umer, Nasir khan, Abdul Ahad khan(son of Dr Haleem), Khawaja Mohammad Ahsan (Retd. Secretary to Govt), Mr. Javed Kaar and Tahir Sami khan.
All the participants remained actively involved by expressing their grief and emotions about the fellows who left us recently.
Raja Umer and Abdul Majid khan appreciated this activity and paid thanks to all the participants who shared their grief and organized this reference. This reference was concluded by Dua for the maghfirat of the fellows who died recently.

PIMA organized a meeting of senior medical faculty of Muzaffarabad on 2nd August 2025 to pay tribute to the services of DR. BASHIR UR REHMAN KANT. Services of Dr. Bashir ur Rehman has a span of about 5 decades in different positions including director Surgery AJK, Secretary to the government of AJK, Principal AJK Medical college Muzaffarabad and currently Dean faculty of health sciences, AJK university, Muzaffarabad.
Meeting was attended by a large number of senior medical faculty.
Chief organizer of the meeting Dr. Khawaja Hamid Rashid welcomed Dr Bashir ur Rahman and all the participants while Dr. Abdul Khalid, Dr. Riaz Ahmed Sheikh, Dr. Waqar Haider, Dr. Mukhtar Chaudhary, Dr. Akmal Qureshi and Dr. Saleem Abbasi addressed the gathering.
Through their video recoded messages, meeting was also addressed by Prof. Dr Iqbal Khan, V.C. Shifa Tameer e Millat University Islamad, Prof. Khawaja Shakeel Ghani and Prof. Mohammad Murtaza Bokhari. All the participants highlighted the services and qualities of Dr. Bashir and expressed their pleasure and satisfaction on his recovery from serious illness. Dr. Bashir ur Rehman in his address acknowledged the sentiments and emotions of participants and described different phases of his services in very comprehensive and concise way in spite of his medical handicap. Dr Malik Arif Hussain paid vote of thanks. A memorial shield was given to Dr. Bashir ur Rahman. The meeting ended at dinner.

پاکستان اسلامک میڈیکل ایسوسی ایشن مظفرآباد نے آج 16 مئی 2025 کو یوم تشکر منایا اور پیما الہاجری ھسپتال روانی سے لیکر سٹیشن ھیڈ کوارٹر دومیل تک ایک زبردست ریلی کا اہتمام کیا۔ اس ریلی میں پیما الہاجری ھسپتال اور کشمیر سرجیکل ھسپتال کے ڈاکٹروں اور عملے کے کے علاوہ عوام نے بھی شرکت کی۔ ریلی کے شرکاء نے بینرز اور نعروں کے زریعے پاکستان کی مسلح افواج اور عوام سے زبردست یک جہتی کا اظہار کیا ۔ شرکاء سے خطاب کرتے ہوئے ڈاکٹر ریاض شیخ ، ڈاکٹر خواجہ حامد رشید اور ڈاکٹر عبدالخالد نے پاکستان اور آزاد کشمیر پر بھارتی حملے کی شدید مذمت کی اور پاکستان کی مسلح افواج اور فضائیہ نے جس جرآت ، جزبے اور مہارت سے دشمن کو دندان شکن جواب دیکر ملک کا نام روشن کیا اس کی تعریف کی اور اللّٰہ کا شکر ادا کیا۔ شرکاء نے افواج پاکستان سے اپنی مکمل یک جہتی کا اظہار کیا۔ ریلی کا اختتام ملکی سلامتی اور کشمیر کی آزادی کیلئے دعا سے ہوا۔

A memorable gathering of doctors of Muzaffarabad to bid farewell to Prof. Dr. Abdul Khalid Awan on his retirement from the AJK health department. All the participants applauded the excellent services of Dr khalid as physician and a medical teacher and appreciated his social services to the ailing humanity. A memorable shield was awarded to Dr. Khalid from PIMA Muzaffarabad.

Mental Health day was celebrated on 10th October 2024 at AIMS Muzaffarabad. A large number of doctors and PIMA members participated in the activity. Dr. Khawaja Hamid Rashid delivered lecture on the topic of Mental Health at work place while Dr. Abdul Khalid emphasized the importance of mental health of doctors. A walk was held and activity was covered in detail by media.
