Students of BS Prosthetics and Orthotics 1st Semester at IPMR-KMU had an assessment and casting session for Foot Orthoses (FO).

The session began with a detailed foot assessment using the Foot Posture Index (FPI), led by Mr. Farhan Shah. Under his expert guidance, students learned how to evaluate the alignment of multiple foot segments and understand different foot postures.

Following the assessment, the students performed Foot Orthosis casting, where they practiced proper patient positioning, foot alignment, and casting techniques under supervision. This hands-on session enabled them to develop practical skills in obtaining accurate negative casts, an essential step in the fabrication of custom foot orthoses.
