Depending upon the caliber and length, LAD is classified into 4 Types.
》Type 1:
•small caliber vessel
•terminating b/f reaching the LV apex...reaches upto 2/3 of LV Ant. wall from base to apex
•does not supply LV apex
•common in women
》Type 2: (common)(dual apecal supply
•large caliber vessel
•supply the LV apex
•rest of the apex is supplied by PDA
》Type 3:
• LV apex is supplied only by LAD
》Type 4: (wrap around LAD)
•LAD supplied the entire apex and upto 25 %of the inferior wall
â—Ź Sometime type 3 is classified as wrap around LAD
