We are pleased to announce the successful completion of the 1st Contact Session of CHR Batch 8 (Julyโ€“December 2026) at Gandhara University, Peshawar.

Gandhara University proudly participated in the One-Day Interactive Training Session on the National Research Program for Universities (NRPU) Grants, organized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) Regional Centre, Peshawar, on July 8, 2026.

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has imposed a permanent ban on the kill!ng, poiso_ning, or shoot_ing of stray dogs in the federal capital.

The court ruled that only a qualified veterinary doctor can certify a dog as rabid or terminally ill and, if necessary, carry out euthanasia through approved medical procedures. Authorities have been directed to adopt the humane โ€œtrap, sterilise and vaccinateโ€ method for controlling the stray dog population.

The judgement also reviewed international practices and instructed relevant bodies to str!ctly implement a scientific and cruelty-free management policy.
