Cheap Hair Transplant Can Be Expensive | Surgeon vs Quack Results Explained
Not all hair transplants are the same. In this video, we compare two patients who came for consultation.
Patient 1: Hair transplant performed by a qualified plastic surgeon. Result shows natural hairline design, correct angle and direction, good density, and undetectable graft placement.
Patient 2: Hair transplant performed by an unqualified technician/quack. Issues include unnatural hairline, wrong angle of growth, poor density, visible grafts, and donor area damage.
Why the difference happens:
1. Training and Anatomy Knowledge: A plastic surgeon understands facial aesthetics, blood supply, and scalp anatomy. A technician does not.
2. Hairline Design: A natural hairline needs micro and macro irregularities. Straight lines look artificial.
3. Incision Technique: Correct angle, depth, and direction determine natural growth. Wrong technique causes pitting, unnatural tufts, and poor growth.
4. Donor Management: Overharvesting by untrained hands damages the donor area permanently, leaving no grafts for repair.
5. Sterility and Safety: Surgery in non-clinical settings risks infection, scarring, and complications.
Hair transplant is surgery. It should be done by a qualified surgeon in a sterile clinical setup. Saving money upfront often costs more to repair later.
