When awareness meets voices, change begins…
On 7th May 2026, The Blood Heroes AJK Team took a powerful step forward by organizing a Thalassemia Awareness Seminar at University of Poonch, Rawalakot.

The session opened with an inspiring introduction to The Blood Heroes by Founder & Director, Dr. Gulalai Arshad, sharing the vision behind the movement and the mission we stand for.

A powerful panel discussion followed on:
“Comparing Thalassemia in Pakistan vs Azad Jammu & Kashmir”

The seminar enlightened the audience about different aspects of Thalassemia, including its prevention, treatment, early screening, and the importance of awareness in building a healthier and Thalassemia-free future.

A Free Thalassemia Screening Camp and Awareness Session was organized at the University of Poonch Rawalakot by 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘉𝘭𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘏𝘦𝘳𝘰𝘦𝘴 𝘵𝘦𝘢𝘮 𝘜𝘗𝘙 in collaboration with 𝘗𝘔𝘊𝘙, with the aim of promoting awareness on Thalassemia, its prevention, and the importance of early screening among students and the community.

The camp witnessed an encouraging response, where nearly 400 individuals availed free screening services. The event’s success was made possible through the outstanding coordination and dedicated teamwork of Team Blood Heroes UPR, PMCR, and the university administration, ensuring smooth ex*****on and meaningful participation.

The event concluded on a significant note with the formal signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between UPR and The Blood Heroes, marking a strong institutional partnership for future collaboration in health awareness campaigns, blood donation drives, and community welfare initiatives.
