🚨 Ebola is spreading fast in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and communities are key to stopping it.
⚠️ As of 4 August, DRC had reported 3,973 confirmed cases, 1,801 deaths and 776 recoveries. In just 24 hours, 99 new cases and 52 deaths were reported.
✅ *Uganda recently stopped its outbreak*, showing that Ebola can be contained with fast action.

🩺 Spot symptoms early and seek care quickly
📞 Follow up with people who may have been exposed
🧼 Prevent infections in health facilities
🤝 Listen to trusted community, religious, women and youth leaders
🛡️ Protect and support frontline health workers
In DRC, only 75% of contacts are currently being followed up, below the 95% target needed to find cases quickly.
