Realising that I had aphantasia completely changed the way I guide meditations.

If it’s not something you’re familiar with you may not even know that people who you work with are unable to follow along with your guided visualisations.

If you help people to connect with any sensory experience in the work you do, then you really need to listen to this episode of the “It’s Not That Deep“ podcast with - Out now.

Out today episode 101 of the It’s Not That Deep podcast.

We were delighted to welcome Sassy Smith from to discuss “Why don’t all therapeutic approaches suit everyone?”

It was an absolutely fascinating conversation about cognitive differences and how they impact our understanding of experience and our ability to articulate how we are feeling.

This is particularly relevant to anyone who is in a role where they help people through talking or experiencing, and just as important for those who take part in these approaches so that they’re able to work with their therapist/teacher/Coach to help them be understood.

Have a listen now on all good podcast players.

Well, here we are episode 100 of It’s Not That Deep!

in this episode, we explored our desire to always want things to be pleasant and nice when actually we don’t have control over so much of our experience. And in that wanting things to be nice, we often increase our own unhappiness.

Please have a listen. And if you share/review the podcast then you’ll also be in with a chance of winning a £50 voucher of your choosing.

100 episodes. Honestly… how did that happen? Thank you to everyone who wants to celebrate with us and potentially win £50?

From our very first chat to tomorrow’s 100th episode, It’s Not That Deep has been all about real conversations, unexpected tangents, and finding the humour (and sometimes the truth) in the everyday challenge of being a human.

Posting fortnightly has somehow turned into 100 episodes of laughs, lessons, oversharing, and everything in between, and we couldn’t have done it without you listening, sharing, and sticking with us along the way.

This milestone feels huge, and we’re so proud of how the podcast has evolved.

To celebrate, when our latest episode “Why do we want things to be pleasant?” drops tomorrow you can help us and be in with a chance of winning a prize!

If you listen, leave us a review and share tomorrow’s social posts (from either one of us), we’ll enter your name into a draw to win a £50 voucher of your choosing.

Here’s to the next 100 episodes … we’re definitely not done yet.
Thank you for being part of it 🤍

PS if you haven’t ever listened to an episode you can find us on all good podcast players!

Think about it. The sky is always blue. Just because we can't see it sometimes because there are clouds in the way, doesn't mean it isn't blue behind them. And the weather constantly changes (especially in the UK!).

Our emotions, our experiences, they are also constantly changing, and just like the weather, they come and go. Behind them lies our constant blue sky.

Why do we hold on to a bad mood? They are so flipping sticky aren’t they? We found it fascinating to chat about how ridiculous it is to stay grumpy, but acknowledging that letting go of it is not always easy!

Please check our “It’s Not That Deep” wherever you get your podcasts and review and share please!
