Yesterday while teaching class we were talking about one of the yamas from ghernada Samhiti Kṣāma, translated as forebearance, tolerance, resilience and my phone presented this video today. It made me reflect on the same thing, 2 years ago at this time in Greece on holiday but studying for my Polish exam and last year in hospital post my ACL reconstruction surgery and now travelling and teaching. When can be tolerant of the not so good parts and keep putting one foot in front of the other, life opens up its possibilities. I wish to continue to be resilient to all the challenges cause I know how they shaped me. Happy Tuesday 🫶

Hatha Yoga is much more than a sequence of postures. Asana, pranayama, mudra, and bandha work together as tools for purification, balance, and inner awakening.

The purpose is not merely physical flexibility, but the cultivation of a body, breath, and nervous system capable of supporting meditation. In the classical view, Hatha Yoga prepares the practitioner for Raja Yoga—the journey from mastery of the body and prana to mastery of the mind.

Asana steadies the body. Pranayama steadies the breath. Mudra and bandha direct the flow of energy. From this foundation, meditation can unfold naturally.

Hatha Yoga is the doorway; Raja Yoga is the path that begins once we step through it.

Yoga Alliance or not? It has become one of the biggest conversations in the yoga community lately.
My view is simple: it’s a personal choice.
Yoga Alliance has played a role in creating a framework that encourages a balanced education by giving importance not only to asana practice, but also to anatomy, philosophy, teaching methodology, and sequencing. These are valuable foundations for anyone stepping into the role of a teacher.
At the same time, no certification alone can define the quality of a teacher.
A certificate is ultimately just a piece of paper if it isn’t supported by dedicated practice, continued study, self-inquiry, experience, and a genuine commitment to learning. Likewise, there are exceptional teachers both within and outside Yoga Alliance-accredited programs.
In the end, what truly matters is not the logo on the certificate, but the depth of understanding, integrity, and effort a teacher brings to their students and their own journey.
Less focus on labels. More focus on learning, practice, and growth. 🙏

Teaching from the heart is a non-negotiable for me and I know for a fact that students appreciate that. In today’s world where teaching yoga is becoming more of a transaction I strive to still make genuine connections because for me it’s a way of life. Recharging my batteries as I prepare for next trainings and adventures and wishing you all a beautiful day!

A little play time between classes. Half way through the 200hr YTT in krakow and each time I do these trainings , I am more convinced that this is the most fulfilling way for me to transmit this knowledge. Combing the knowledge of asana, philosophy and anatomy and much more to make practitioners think for themselves and build practice consciously and not to depend on lineages or brand names cause yoga is yoga, you may call it what you want to market it but the right teacher will share with you the knowledge and set you free. It’s Upto you then how you want to use it and what you want to do with it, right knowledge is freeing it’s liberating 🫶 happy Thursday!
