⭐️ Basic TCM Diagnosis ⭐️

Chronic Headaches.

*** The location can help determine what channel is affected allowing the practitioner to decide which points protocol to choose. LI 4 is the best point for any kind of headache!
- On top of the head/vertex (Jue Yin Channel, LV): Du 20, BL 7, LV 2.
- Frontal or orbital/behind the eyes (Yang Ming Channel, ST): St 44, Du 23, St 8.
- Temporal (Shao Yang Channel, GB or LV): Gb 43, Gb 20 & Extra point Tai Yang.
- Occipital/back of the head (Tai Yang, BL): Gb 20, BL 10, BL 60.
- The whole head: Qi or Blood deficiency. St 36

*** The Nature of the headache will also allow the practitioners to add other appropriate points.
- Dull mild ache: Deficiency (points will depend of what kind of deficiency).
- Splitting local: Blood Stasis (LV 3 & Li 4)
- Moving headaches, changing location as it progresses: Lv Qi stagnation (LV 3)
- Heavy headache: Dampness (SP 9)
- Tight band wrapped around the head: Phlegm (ST 40).

💚GB 44 is a Jing-Well point, so it works great to clear heat for high fever, fainting, and dream disturbed sleep (especially due to fear!).
It also can be used for migraines that feel better with a cool cloth, sudden deafness and high pitch tinnitus. And it clears ST heat due to chronic overeating, which creates Heart burns and acid reflux.

🖤 BL 60 is a great acupuncture point for acute or chronic pain of the neck, upper, middle or lower back, occipital headaches, dizziness, and although it is contraindicated during pregnancy, it is used often at the end of it for difficult labour.

💚GB 8 (Leading Valley) is a great acupuncture point to relieve a hangover (especially when there is nausea/vomiting & headaches), combine it with ST 40 and that should do it!
This point is also used for internal wind patterns with symptoms such as convulsions, tinnitus and dizziness.

I love BL 2 😍 It's a great acupuncture point for any eyes issue (painful, red, swollen and lacrimation/tearing easily with wind, blurred vision or eye twitch). It opens the nose for congestion. It can be used for frontal headache. And I have used it on my dog for hiccups! It works like a charm 😃

💛KD 10 is a great acupuncture point for erectile dysfunction, hernia, painful or difficult urination, abnormal uterine bleeding and knee pain (medial side mostly). 💛

💜Ren 24 - CV 24 is a great point as part of a protocol for facial paralysis and Bell's Palsy, it relieves toothache, and decreases swelling of the face. And Because it's a Ghost Point, it's used for people who are always worried and are consumed by dark thoughts for years, and who don’t smile or laugh, ever.

🖤 BL 63 is a great acupuncture point for infantile convulsions, and epilepsy. It also can be used for lower leg motor impairment and pain, and low back aches. It calms the mind for mania as well.
