Hello!!! *Moonlighting*

I had been eager to release this song since January. I wrote it, as I often do, by accident, immediately falling in love with the melodic quality of the main riff. The second part draws inspiration from *Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree*, particularly the Midra boss fight. Hearing that composition sparked the urge to create something equally intense. For the music video, the initial idea was to explore a theme built around night and day. However, as always, it was best to take things one step at a time. Mrokat crafted the “Moon mask,” which led me to realize the video could be much simpler. Remembering the “Animatronic” video technique, we decided to try it, and recording was a blast. Mrokat kept shouting, “Do this! Try this!” while I danced in slow motion, making the experience hilarious.

The song’s title, '*Moonlighting*', holds a special place in my heart because, during my time playing in “The Band,” I needed a side hustle-recording material for other artists. While I suspect they weren’t thrilled about it, the pay from the band wasn’t great, and I lacked creative freedom there. That period, however, brought valuable friendships and the chance to record some remarkable albums, making it entirely worthwhile. This song is my musical interpretation of that chapter in my life, as well as a small tribute to *The Mask* or something along those lines.
