We’re encouraged to see this important update from ReCode Therapeutics and what it could mean for the future of PCD research.
In a Phase 1b trial, ReCode shared the first clinical evidence of biological activity for a genetic medicine in people with primary ciliary dyskinesia, with 57% of patients showing improvement in mucociliary clearance at 12 weeks. For a disease with no approved disease-modifying treatments, this kind of progress matters. We are especially grateful to the patients who participated in this study. Their involvement is helping move the field forward and bringing us closer to future treatments shaped by the needs and experiences of the PCD community.
Research into better treatments and ultimately, a cure for PCD, will take all of us. Take the first step and speak to your medical team about confirming your diagnosis.
