A technology created in Puerto Rico is opening new opportunities to transform how clinical trial participants are identified and recruited.

I thank Enfoque Pymes de El Nuevo Día and journalist Sandra Torres for reviewing our business trajectory and sharing the vision behind Diversia Health.

Latinos represent about 20% of the U.S. population, but our participation in clinical trials continues to be significantly lower. At Diversia Health, we develop bilingual, culturally intelligent technology to identify, prequalify, and connect Hispanic and underrepresented communities with clinical research opportunities.

This article comes at a watershed moment: we are part of the 14th Generation of Parallel18, we have presented our vision at the U.S. Capitol, and we will soon be bringing our technology to the Society for Clinical Research Sites (SCRS) Global Site Solutions Summit in Orlando.

I also thank Yari Rivas and the entire Diversia Health team for their commitment and effort to achieve our goal of building a solution capable of impacting clinical research in the United States and Puerto Rico.

La edición de hoy de Enfoque Pymes de El Nuevo Día presenta el recorrido empresarial de nuestros cofundadores, Ángel Hoyos y Yari Rivas: una trayectoria construida con visión, perseverancia y el compromiso de utilizar la innovación para responder a desafíos reales.

Diversia Health surge de esa experiencia y de una convicción clara: la investigación clínica debe ser más accesible, representativa y cercana a las comunidades históricamente desatendidas.

Diversia Health te invita a ser parte del estudio BRIDGES (Evaluando Puentes hacia una mejor Salud y Bienestar).

Este proyecto del Ponce Research Institute busca integrar y mejorar el cuidado de personas que manejan condiciones de salud mental junto con otros factores de salud física.

Requisitos para participar:

✅ Tener 21 años o más.
✅ Estar recibiendo tratamiento psiquiátrico o psicológico.
✅ Tener un diagnóstico de condición severa de salud mental (ej. esquizofrenia, trastorno bipolar, depresión mayor).
✅ Tener al menos un factor de riesgo o diagnóstico de una condición de salud crónica (ej. diabetes, sobrepeso, hipertensión, etc.).
✅ Estar dispuesto/a a comenzar a recibir servicios de salud primaria.
