Essência is an intentional EcoVillage and nature retreat in Aljezur, Portugal with the aim of hosting and promoting holistic, educational retreats and courses.

✨ WOMAN NATURAL BUILDING ✨

There is something powerful about women coming together to create with their hands. 🌿

🌱 To touch the earth.
🌱 To learn skills that have been passed down for generations.
🌱 To build, experiment, make mistakes, learn from each other — and see something real take shape.

But this week is about more than natural building.

🦋 It’s about sisterhood.
🦋 About creating, dancing, singing, sharing, laughing and celebrating the feminine in all its different expressions.

🌳 For 7 days, we’ll come together in the wild nature of the Algarve to learn and practice natural building techniques — guided by the wonderful women of the Women Natural Building Collective.

In a world that moves so quickly, there is a quiet magic in coming together and reconnecting.

Dear Parents and Kids

🦋 We warmly invite you to become a part of our Family Nature Gathering in Essência where we live together with our children between hills, gardens and a mystical forest close to the most magnificent beaches of the Algarve, Portugal.

🌻 From the 16.9.26 - 20.9.26 we come together to (re)connect to ourselves, other parents and kids, the earth and the power of the tribe.

🦋 (re)connect is a space to experience the support of each other when we accompany our children on their path. It is a space where we breathe, share, care and play together.

🌻 Every day we create a loving and inspiring program to feel our hearts, roots and creativity. It will be a slow and spacious flow of the day to ground and interact with the magical nature around us.

Someone recently told me, “Why don’t you show on Instagram what normal life is like for you guys? People think you just dance, hold each other, and do absolutely nothing. Real life is work, too.”

🌱 In moments like these, I realize once again how precious, privileged and important it is to create a new reality and a new way of being together - to sow small seeds and create oases of the new world.

🌀 Essência is a retreat and healing center, an event space, and an oasis for visitors.
We organize and host events and retreats, prepare rooms and glamping tents for our guests and facilitators. We take care of our children in the Kids Temple, make sure we have electricity and water, and plant our gardens.

🔥 And above all, we “work” on ourselves - on our shadows and our triggers. We work on questioning the old system, letting go of it, and creating something new. We work on creating a new, authentic way of being together. We meet and show ourselves to one another honestly, transparently and heart-to-heart.

💫 And we do all of this together. Laughing together, crying together, holding each other in our arms, dancing together. A shared purpose, a clear vision of our “why.” And that is exactly what you see here.

🌳 This is our life, our reality, our choice.

We’re creating paradise on Earth, and there are many ways to be a part of it.
