The Speech, Language and Hearing Laboratory (SLHlab) main focus is to inform and influence evidence based clinical practice, and to expand the knowledge base on speech production and perception through instrumental investigations. Further, to build new evidence base on the effectiveness and efficiency of different intervention approaches. One of our primary objectives is to development of health a

ssessment tools, to be used on a regular basis by health professionals and for clinical training of students. Current interest include: Voicing in Speech Production and Perception; Novel interventions for children with speech sound disorders; Assessment tools to evaluate fluency disorders. Research Areas: Speech and Language Therapy; Speech Production; Speech Perception
Group Leader: Luis M. Jesus received his first degree in 1996 from the University of Aveiro, the M.Sc. degree in electronics in 1997 from the University of East Anglia, Norwich, UK, and the Ph.D. degree in electronics in 2001 from the University of Southampton, UK. Since 2001, he has been lecturing at the ESSUA, and has been a member of IEETA, University de Aveiro.
