Watching the world through your kids’ eyes changes everything. 🤍

Between my work schedule, their sports, and the pace of everyday life, this trip to Portugal was exactly what we all needed.

We stood in the streets of Lisbon surrounded by thousands of people watching the World Cup. The crowd was loud. The energy was unforgettable.

But what I’ll remember most wasn’t the game.

It was watching my kids laugh, cheer, explore a new country, and experience it all together.

We travel to see new places, but even more than that, we travel to create memories we’ll carry long after we unpack our suitcases.

The roar of the crowd fades.

The moments with my kids are what stay. 🇵🇹❤️

✨ Trust your parent instincts. ✨

I can't tell you how many families say:

"I knew something wasn't right, but everyone told me it was normal."

If your child is mouth breathing and also has symptoms like:

✔️ Snoring
✔️ Restless sleep
✔️ Bedwetting
✔️ Dark circles under the eyes
✔️ Chronic congestion
✔️ Difficulty focusing or daytime fatigue

…it may be worth taking a closer look.

Mouth breathing isn't always "just a habit." Sometimes it's a clue that something else may be contributing to your child's sleep, breathing, and overall well-being.

You know your child best. If your gut is telling you something is off, listen to it.

Grandparents know a lot.

But they were wrong about sleep and breathing. For years, people thought snoring was just a normal thing.

They thought breathing through your mouth was totally fine. We even thought babies never needed help breastfeeding.

But we now know the truth.

Snoring, mouth breathing, and feeding struggles are major red flags. They point to bigger health problems hiding under the surface. Do not ignore the warning signs.

Is your family dealing with any of these problems? Send me a DM right now to book an evaluation. We can fix it!

A perfect smile is only the first step. You also need good mouth habits to keep it.

That little drop at the back of your throat is called the uvula. Most people do not know what it does. It actually helps you eat and speak.

Here is why you should care. If you breathe through your mouth at night, your uvula dries out. It gets big and swollen. This blocks your air. It makes you snore and ruins your sleep.

Breathing through your nose keeps your uvula healthy. Good resting tongue habits keep your airway open. This protects your deep sleep. It also stops your teeth from moving back out of place after you fix them.

Protect your breathing to protect your sleep and your smile.

Breathing and sleep are more connected than many people realize 👃💨😴

Myofunctional therapy isn’t just about the tongue... It’s about helping support healthy breathing patterns and oral function.

Because when we breathe and function better, it can positively impact so many aspects of our health and well-being

The body is pretty amazing.

Sometimes tension, clenching, and discomfort aren’t random—they can be clues that something deserves a closer look.

As a myofunctional therapist, I help people look at breathing, oral function, and muscle patterns that may be part of the bigger picture.

The body leaves clues 👀🤍

Most people are breathing harder than they need to 👀

Nasal breathing can help improve efficiency, endurance, and recovery during exercise.

Train your body. Train your breathing. 👃💨

Your body is always adapting 👀

Sometimes that adaptation shows up as mandibular tori... extra bone growth that may be associated with long-term forces on the jaw.

The body leaves clues 🤍

Being in Lisbon last night with thousands of fans watching Ronaldo was pretty incredible ⚽🇵🇹

The energy.
The excitement.
The anticipation.

And it got me thinking…

Whether you’re an elite athlete or an everyday person, daily performance depends on the basics.

Sleep.
Breathing.
Recovery.

The fundamentals matter 👏

🇵🇹

A client recently told me:

"I can't stop looking at people's mouths now." 😂

Welcome to the club 👏

Once you start learning about breathing, oral rest posture, tongue position, and oral function...

You begin noticing things you never paid attention to before 👀

Sorry not sorry 🤍
