NutrilifeIO has just signed the Letter of Intent (LoI) with Hospital Universitario Virgen Macarena where “willing to pay” & play the role of end-users (B2B2C) in the piloting of the solution before national-wide Spain before commercialization, scale-up in the EU dimension.
The hospital belongs to the Andalusian Public Health System (SAS) Servicio Andaluz de Salud and is one of the most important Hospitals in the region of Andalusia, the southernmost region of Spain with a population assigned of 481,296 users and is staffed by more than 5000 professionals and has 866 beds. The Innovation Unit of Hospital Universitario Virgen Macarena focuses on the implementation of innovative techniques, methodologies and technologies in healthcare that will have an impact on the improvement of people's health, better performance of the system itself and the generation of resources for the sustainability of the healthcare system. The Hospital's innovation strategy focuses on the following areas:
1) Digital Health: systems aimed at prevention, diagnosis, treatment and monitoring of patients.
This includes mobile application projects, clinical decision support systems and other systems.
2) Research support platforms: Platforms for patient recruitment and follow-up in research studies and clinical trials.
3) Big Data and data exploitation
4) Unit management support systems: Designed to optimize unit management: roster management, intra-hospital communication, etc.
5) Medical devices and telemedicine: Equipment aimed at monitoring the condition of patients and providing medical services remotely.
Given the difficulty of successfully implementing nutritional interventions and achieving healthy lifestyle changes in patients, NutrilifeIO could be an important resource for physicians of the Andalusian Public Health System (SAS).
