🌕 Harvest Moon Release Ceremony

Last night, under the light of the Harvest Full Moon, we gathered on the sand to mark the equinox — the moment light and dark stand equal before the season turns.

We named what we were ready to release. We wrote it down. We let the water carry it away.

This is the medicine of the equinox: nothing rushed, nothing forced. Just a quiet permission to let go, so something new has room to grow.

Couldn’t make it this time? You’re not too late. This was just the first of many — full moon circles, new moon circles, and stargazing/meteor shower gatherings are coming under Illuminate After Dark. Stay tuned for the next one. 🌙✨

A season of ceremony under the sky.

This fall & winter, Illuminate Holistic Healing is bringing the East Algarve coastline to life after dark — New Moon calling-in ceremonies, Full Moon release ceremonies, illuminated moonlight walks, and meteor shower stargazing nights. Breathwork. Meditation. Sound healing. Community, held by the water, guided by the sky.

Each gathering is its own small pilgrimage back to yourself — whatever the moon is doing that month.

Ceremony: Breathwork & Meditation Under the Harvest Full Moon 🌕

Tomorrow night, as the sun sets on the Equinox and the Harvest Moon rises, join me for a sacred gathering by the sea — honoring the balance of light and dark, and releasing what no longer serves you as we step into the new season.

✨ What we’ll share together:
🌊 Grounding & welcome circle
⚖️ A moment to honor the light/dark balance of the Equinox
📝 A release ceremony — write it, let it go, offer it to the water
🌙 Calling in what you’re ready to welcome
🚶‍♀️ A cleansing walk to the water’s edge (wade in if you feel called!)
🌬️ Breathwork & earth-heart meditation
🥁 Ocean drum & closing circle

This is my first in-person circle here in the Algarve, and I couldn’t be more excited to hold this space with you. Come as you are — no experience needed, just an open heart.

🌕 My first event in Portugal is this Saturday!

I’m hosting an Equinox Ceremony & Release under the Harvest Full Moon on Saturday at 7 PM on Manta Rota beach.

I woke from a dream of hosting this gathering just the other day, and I set to work planning it right away. Now it’s happening in just a few days! 🌊

🌗 Equinox Blessings 🌗
As the light and dark find perfect balance today, we’re invited to pause and ask: what am I ready to release, and what do I want to call in?
Equinox is nature’s reminder that both endings and beginnings can hold hands. The seeds we plant now, in this fertile in-between, take root in ways we won’t fully see until the seasons turn again.
✨ A tip for today: Write down one thing you’re releasing and one thing you’re calling in — then place both under the light of tonight’s moon (or a candle, if the skies aren’t clear where you are). Let the ritual, however small, mark the shift.
🌕 And speaking of the moon — this Equinox coincides with the Harvest Full Moon, a rare and powerful alignment of balance and illumination.
