He is not Against You. He wants to Love You.

There was so much love radiating from my heart when I wrote these words, because this is how I am experiencing the masculine in my life right now.

The healed and Divine Masculine is not against you. He does not want to hurt you. He wants to love you, adore you, support you, protect you and see you happy.

If you keep attracting the unhealed masculine, men who are emotionally unavailable, toxic or even abusive, perhaps it is time to change the signal within you. To heal the wounds, fears and old patterns that may still be keeping you connected to these relationships.

For many years, I did not know how to hold moments of love.

Even when something beautiful was happening, part of me could not fully relax into it.

I was afraid it would end.

I was afraid the person I loved would leave, disappoint me or take their love away.

Today, I understand that this fear did not begin only with me.

My father was abandoned and betrayed twice by his own father through situations connected to work. He lost not only what he had built, but also his sense of safety and trust.

Perhaps his body learned that what he loved could suddenly be taken away.

And perhaps, without words, I learned this from him too.

Later, my own experiences of rejection, abandonment and betrayal seemed to confirm that love was not safe to trust.

Until Fernando.

Through his presence, my body slowly began to learn something new:

I can be loved without being abandoned.

I can receive support without losing myself.

I can soften and still be safe.

I can allow a beautiful moment to enter my heart without immediately preparing for it to end.

This is what these photographs represent to me.

Not a perfect love—but a love I am finally able to be present with, receive and hold within my body.

Sometimes healing the masculine within us means becoming able to remain inside the love we once believed we would lose.
