Começámos a colher os nossos dióspiros, maduros ao ritmo da natureza e diretamente das árvores da quinta.

Além de doces e deliciosos, os dióspiros são naturalmente ricos em fibra e fornecem vitamina A, vitamina C e carotenoides, nutrientes importantes para a visão, a pele, o sistema imunitário e a proteção antioxidante do organismo.

At Quinta Campus de Tojo, autumn begins to reveal itself through its flavours too.

We have started harvesting our persimmons, ripened naturally and picked directly from the trees on the estate.

Sweet and delicious, persimmons are naturally rich in fibre and provide vitamin A, vitamin C and carotenoids — nutrients that contribute to healthy vision and skin, support the immune system, and provide antioxidant protection.

What if a Saturday morning could feel less like another plan… and more like the pause your body has been waiting for?

I’m opening Flora & Stillness, a monthly nature-based meditation experience at Quinta Campus de Tojo, a peaceful private quinta in Magoito.

It’s a slow and gentle morning with:

🌿 guided meditation
🌿 mindful walking through the quinta
🌿 quiet observation of flowers, plants, trees and seasonal details
🌿 journaling and reflection
🌿 a simple tea ritual to close

This is an invitation to slow down, notice more, and let nature bring you back into presence.

First session: 17 October 2026 · 10:30 AM–12:30 PM

A Special Visitor at AmarCintra | The Eurasian Hoopoe

Sometimes, the most beautiful moments happen when we simply stop and observe.

Today, we had the pleasure of spotting a beautiful Eurasian Hoopoe (Upupa epops) exploring the grounds of Quinta Campus de Tojo.

With its striking black-and-white wings, warm cinnamon plumage, and unmistakable feathered crest, the hoopoe is one of Portugal’s most distinctive wild birds.

Often seen walking across open ground in search of insects, this fascinating bird is a wonderful reminder of the biodiversity that surrounds us here in the Sintra-Cascais Natural Park.

At AmarCintra, nature is never just a backdrop. It is part of the experience.

A little reminder to slow down, look around, and appreciate the unexpected visitors that share this beautiful place with us.

A Piece of Portuguese Aviation History Above Magoito!

We recently had the privilege of capturing three de Havilland Canada DHC-1 Chipmunk aircraft flying over the skies of Magoito, near Sintra.

Designed in Canada, these elegant aircraft made their first flight in 1946 and became an important part of military pilot training.
