Just a post to let you know my dog is with us in Qatar. He is doing fine. Just because I mainly share his updates in his own IG account, that’s it. Thank you 🙏❤️

Happy Father’s Day to those who are the pillar, the comedian, the cook, the playmate, and so much more for their families. ❤️
Lately, I haven’t been in the best mood. Perimenopausal hormones and the craziness of the end of the academic year have certainly played their part.
I could choose not to drive. I could choose not to go out. I could choose to stay wrapped up in my grumpiness.
But thanks to my Guruji and his yogic teachings, I’ve learned that although I experience frustration and exhaustion, I am not those feelings.
Deep down, I know I always have a choice. I can stay trapped in the cycle of negativity, or I can step beyond it.
So instead of dwelling on what isn’t perfect, I chose to laugh at the nonsense, delight in the cuteness of these two, and simply enjoy being present.
Today, I chose laughter over complaints, joy over irritation, and presence over old patterns.
And I’m grateful that I didn’t let those patterns write the story for me. ❤️
P.S. We actually started celebrating yesterday, so technically I had every excuse to stay home…👻
♥️ ❤️

Have been driving in Doha for over two weeks now, and I’m genuinely glad I chose to trust myself—to honour that I am a capable and confident driver, whether in the UK, Hong Kong, or somewhere completely new.

Driving, for me, is always a moment of self-check.

All the self-doubt, unnecessary worries, and emotional management tend to surface when I’m in a new country, a new car, a new environment.

I had all these thoughts running through my mind:
“Oh, it’s a wider and longer car—almost 70cm longer.”
“Oh, driving on the right with a left steering wheel.”
“Oh, the roads are so different—wider highways, so many lanes…”
“Oh, drivers are fast and impatient.”

But once I’m behind the wheel, reality feels different.
The lanes become more manageable than they first appear.
With the technology in modern cars, even driving a bigger vehicle isn’t as intimidating as I imagined.

Sometimes, all we need is a bit of self-awareness—and the courage to take that step.
Not blind faith, not overconfidence—but grounded trust in ourselves.

I never thought I would start enjoying driving in Doha this quickly.
Of course, there were stressful moments—getting lost, dealing with irresponsible drivers—but I kept going.

First drive: school drop-off, with my husband beside me.
Second drive: school pick-up, on my own.
By the second week: dropping my husband at work—twice.

I even started booking different spas and salons as little incentives—to explore new routes and get to know the area better 😂

My biggest takeaway?
Not letting others disturb my inner peace.

If someone drives irresponsibly, I won’t become one of them—even if it frustrates them.

Self-awareness. Clarity. Staying true to who I am.

“Be the change I want to see.”

I choose to drive with care—and I hope to see more of that on the roads in Doha.
