🥁 Winners of the "Development of SOPs in Accordance with Specified Requirements" Case 🥁

The VOI-2026 challenges are in full swing, and we've already summarized the results of Track #1's case, "Development of SOPs in Accordance with Specified Requirements," from Inna Vladimirovna Shadrina, a leading technologist at Active Component!

The spring educational intensive includes not only unique lectures and assignments from current specialists at leading pharmaceutical companies, but also the opportunity to ask questions and receive feedback.
📨 In addition, in the "Active Component" case, the winners and runners-up received a personal invitation to an interview🌟

So, our winners🏆, who will receive +30 points in the portfolio competition:

- Marcel Maratovich Nemeshev, fourth-year student of Biotechnology at SPbSTI (TU)
- Angelina Maksimovna Timko, fourth-year student of Biotechnology at RTU MIREA
- Ksenia Viktorovna Dolyuk, fourth-year student of Chemical Engineering at SSPhFU

Our prize winners💪, who will receive +20 points in the portfolio competition:

- Sofia Aleksandrovna Grigorieva, third-year student of Chemical Engineering at SSPhFU
- Daria Dmitrievna Kornelyuk, fourth-year student of Chemical Engineering at SSPhFU
- Evgeniya Soroka Andreevna, first-year Master's student at NUST MISIS in Chemical Engineering (graduate of SPHFU 🤫)

Daria Alekseevna Dubrovina, fourth-year student in Chemical Engineering at SPHFU

✍️ Feedback from case participant Ksenia Dolyuk: "I liked the assignment: it was practical and as close as possible to real production conditions, which made it especially useful. The case gave a general idea of how the labeling process is organized in production and how this is reflected in SOPs."

🌠 And finally, some parting words from Inna Vladimirovna:

"A huge thank you to everyone who took the trouble to work on this case!

This task perfectly demonstrated who pays attention to detail, who knows how to work with technical specifications, and, most importantly, who truly has a sparkle in their eyes. In our profession, enthusiasm isn't just a word, but the fuel for complex processes.

For those who received a low score, I advise you not to be upset and to reread the task. In pharmaceutical production, a missed section or logical gap is not just an academic error, but an unacceptable oversight.

For example, if in the objectives and object of an SOP you write about equipment labeling, but in the procedure you describe finished product labeling, this will not only confuse all plant employees but also have negative consequences during an audit: a GMP auditor will not overlook this. Any technologist's document must be coherent, traceable, and "breathe" with a unified technological framework. chain.

Working as a technologist is a delicate balance between precision in completing a given task and a touch of creativity. And yes, such specialists are worth their weight in gold today.

I wish everyone to find their "reaction space" – be it commercial production, quality control or assurance, synthesis optimization, scaling, validation, or process digitalization.

If my lecture resonated with you or left a pleasant languor somewhere between your shoulder blades, the Master's program in API synthesis will be your best catalyst for "career synthesis."

I look forward to seeing you at the factory.

Good luck, and may your yields always be consistently high and your professional path unadulterated!

SPHFU at IPhEB 2026: Scientific Dialogue, Innovation, and Recognition of Young Talents. The 16th International Exhibition and Forum on Pharmaceuticals and Biotechnology (IPhEB 2026) was held in St. Petersburg. The event brought together 154 exhibitors and over 2,500 specialists from 36 regions of Russia and 13 countries, confirming its status as a key industry platform in the Eurasian region.

The St. Petersburg State Chemical and Pharmaceutical University (SPhPU) is a long-standing strategic partner of the forum's scientific and educational program.

In 2026, the university expanded its presence in the business program by organizing the 5th All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference with International Participation, "Pharmaceutical Science: Challenges and Solutions in the 21st Century," and the 1st All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference with International Participation, "Pharmaceutical Chemistry: Practical Implementation of Applied Science." A. N. Shikov (SPhPU) presented a new class of solvents for the extraction of biologically active substances from plant materials. Scientists from St. Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Kazan, and Barnaul shared the results of their research on innovative delivery systems (microcapsules, transferosomal gels, lipid nanoparticles, and mucoadhesive formulations). A. V. Yarutkin (National Center for Expertise in Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices) outlined the development trends of the 15th edition of the State Pharmacopoeia.

The section "Pharmacy in Wartime and Extreme Situations" featured Yu. V. Miroshnichenko, E. M. Mavrenkov, S. V. Chepur, A. V. Shchegolev, and R. A. Golubenko, discussing the safety and efficacy of drugs for military use. Experts R. R. Shukurov (GENERIUM) and E. V. Demyanova (Pharmasyntez Nord JSC) discussed the priorities of technological sovereignty within the framework of the "Bioeconomics" national project. The Pharmaceutical Microbiology section (O. V. Gunar, S. E. Rzheussky) discussed microbial safety and antibiotic resistance. The Pharmaceutical Education section (V. V. Presnyakova, A. A. Oparin, O. A. Makhova) focused on pharmacist training. M. A. Zaitseva led a session on test systems in preclinical studies. The session on the production of pharmaceutical substances touched on new synthesis technologies in the context of the national project "New Materials and Chemistry."
Under the coordination of the St. Petersburg Chemical Pharmaceutical University, a conference with educational and R&D tracks was held, moderated by E. I. Sakanyan and I. I. Terninko. The training of pharmacist analysts and quality control of herbal preparations were discussed with the participation of V. G. Luzhanin, I. N. Zilfikarov, and I. V. Gravel.
A highlight was the awards ceremony for the winners of the "Young Pharmacy" conference—a social platform for students and young scientists. The winners were recognized in the categories of fundamental and applied research. SPCFU will continue to develop the human and scientific potential of the pharmaceutical industry to ensure drug safety and Russia's technological sovereignty.
Today's students and young researchers will become tomorrow's talented leaders, ensuring drug safety and Russia's technological sovereignty.
