😳 𝗨𝗹𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗮𝗰𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝗶𝘀 (𝗖𝗮𝘂𝗱𝗮𝗹 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝘆𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗲) 😲😲😲

🔹 Partial or complete absence of the sacrum with abrupt termination of the fetal spine.

🔹 Shortened lumbosacral spine with missing sacral vertebrae.

🔹 Blunt or truncated appearance of the distal spine on sagittal imaging.

🔹 Abnormal positioning of the lower extremities, often with fixed flexion deformities.

🔹 Reduced crown-rump length of the lower body relative to gestational age.

🔹 Associated abnormalities may involve the genitourinary, gastrointestinal, and lower limb systems.

🔹 Fetal pelvis may appear small due to absent sacral development.

🔹 Frequently associated with maternal diabetes mellitus.

🩺 Key Ultrasound Sign

🔹 Absent visualization of the normal sacral ossification centers.
🔹 Abrupt ending of the vertebral column above the expected sacral level.

🚨 Associated Anomalies

🔹 Clubfoot (Talipes).
🔹 Lower limb contractures.
🔹 Neurogenic bladder.
🔹 Renal anomalies.
🔹 Imperforate a**s.
🔹 VACTERL association (occasionally).

✨ Classic USG Line:
📡 Fetal spine demonstrates abrupt termination at the lumbosacral level with non-visualization of the sacral vertebrae, consistent with sacral agenesis (caudal regression syndrome).
