🌅 Why does my back feel stiff in the morning?

Ever wake up feeling like you need to “warm up” before you can move normally? 😩

Morning stiffness is really common, and it can be influenced by things like staying in one position overnight, your sleep position, reduced movement, muscle tension and your activity levels the day before.

💡 Try this before reaching for your phone:
✨ Get up and move gently
✨ Take a short walk
✨ Try some light stretches
✨ Give your body a few minutes to loosen up

A stiff morning doesn’t automatically mean you have a “bad back”. Your body may simply need a little movement to get going. 💚

Don’t panic - that sound doesn’t necessarily mean something is “cracking” or that anything is being damaged.

Joint sounds can happen for a number of reasons, including changes in pressure within the joint and movement of surrounding tissues.

What matters more is how the joint feels and functions.
