So I accidentally used hot chocolate powder instead of cocoa powder.. π«£
Can we just call these brownish? π« Still delicious, just not what I had planned for π
Iβll leave the actual recipe below & you can hit save to make it later π€
Ingredients:
110 g low fat spread / butter alternative - melted
170 g castor sugar
2 medium eggs
3 tsp vanilla extract
65 g self-raising flour
40 g cocoa powder
1 pinch of salt
Method:
1) Preheat the oven to 180C, and line an 8β square baking tray with parchment paper.
2) Combine the melted butter with sugar and mix until the sugar is dissolved.
Add in the eggs and vanilla extract and beat until light in colour.
3) Sift in the flour, cocoa powder and salt. Gently fold them into the mixture.
Be careful not to over mix here, but still ensure that all the flour/cocoa powder is incorporated.
4) Pour your mixture into the pre-prepared baking tray & bake for 20-25 minutes. I find the best timing is 22.5 minutes!
5) Leave to cool in the tray and then cut into 12 equal pieces. Transfer to a cooling rack to continue cooling.
Sprinkle with icing sugar and enjoy!
