Abstract
Quantum biology is an emerging interdisciplinary field investigating how quantum mechanical phenomena such as proton tunneling, quantum coherence, and electron transfer affect biological systems. Increasing evidence suggests that quantum effects influence enzyme catalysis, DNA mutation, mitochondrial electron transport, and neural signaling. This paper explores the theoretical foundations and experimental evidence supporting quantum phenomena in cellular processes and evaluates their implications for next-generation medical therapies. Applications in quantum-informed drug design, cancer therapy, neurodegenerative disease treatment, regenerative medicine, and precision diagnostics are examined. Despite experimental and translational challenges, advances in ultrafast spectroscopy, computational modeling, and quantum computing are accelerating progress toward clinical implementation. By integrating quantum mechanics with molecular biology, this research argues that quantum-informed medicine may enable unprecedented precision in therapeutic intervention, reshaping the future of healthcare.
