'Hand poke' (very) simply means that instead of using a tattoo machine to power the needle up & down, we do this manually. As our fellow artists of humanity has done since the dawn of time and our species. I use the same needles and inks made for prof

essional tattooing, as you would using a machine. The hypnotizing rhythm created while making a hand made tatu
is what makes the experience a fundamentally different one,
It does take longer time. But because of the relaxed and meditative mood, the experience brings so much more than just pure pain for 3-8 hours...
If you are used to machine made tattoos, this will surprise you
How ever, it is still a tatu, it will hurt.

I am so greatful for this event and special thanks and big hugs to for inviting me first time two years ago. I've really been welcomed into the community 💚
I've been working with our cultural heritage and abodeing the spirits of our land, sky and sea for quite a while now, but always on my own, trying to find people resonating with what I have to offer.

It is a beautiful opportunity to receive a tatu during this 4 day event on Björkö. There is a camping site for visitors who wish to stay longer than the ferries permits. Fires and music in the evenings.
Its a great way to spend a holiday.

Now finally with an ending from this year
when the scar is • 1 year old

With scarification there is never any guarantees
Solar branding is no exception.
The artist executes the procedure.
The visible and lasting scar is formed by the clients body.
Important factors is the healing process, the skin and the ancestry and the genes they gave you... They makes the scar. The procedure only egnites it. The forming of the scar tissue starts then and there and continues for months afterwards.
Scars change though the years of our lives aswell.
They live and age with us.

It's an amazing opportunity to sit in meditation
with discipline - without reaction
To something usually destructive and dangerous,
but now wanted, chosen and welcomed.
And then to experience first hand ones own body dealing with the healing, on its own without our interference.

At first it looks so brutal
But then settles so subtly
