There is something about summer evenings that makes you want to slow down and simply be there.
That feeling is what I wanted to bring into this painting.
The warm light across the fields, the quiet road and the soft colours create a little moment of stillness.
A landscape to live with, and perhaps return to with your eyes when you need a quiet moment.
I can imagine it above a sideboard, in a living room, or somewhere you can see it as you go about your day.
