We’ve had some major life events in our family in the last few months. Very soon it will be all finished and I’m looking forward to returning to a more stable daily routine.

I have a strong foundation built up over time as I’ve been practicing Ayurveda for years. This foundation supports me during stressful, hectic times and allows me to move easily back into my routine when space and quiet returns.

Many of us experience times in our lives when we let go of our self care routines when life becomes excessively demanding. I know many of my clients have voiced they have had to step away from Ayurveda and miss its benefits.

If you have had a previous consultation with me and would like to start your Ayurveda routine & lifestyle again, I’m offering a bundle of either 3 or 5 consultations with me to help rebuild your Ayurveda program.

I recently raised my prices after nearly ten years, by purchasing a bundle you get monthly support at a reduced price.

We will meet once a month so that I can support you to build your routine again while addressing any current health concerns. Monthly meet ups help create stability, consistency, and confidence. We will also review any questions you may have and make adjustments as necessary. It will also allow us to focus on diet as a means to restoring health which is a must to get long lasting results.

Message me for full details!
Offer available until the end of June.

Consultations can be done online or in person in Malmö. 💗

Everything I’ve ever learned about the deeper meaning behind a practice happened first through applying structure and discipline.
At first I only experienced the “form” of the discipline and through practice I discovered a river of free flowing information that inspired and nurtured me within the structure of the practice.

We think that the power of creativity is something wild, free, and unencumbered by rules and restrictions.
And we think of the Feminine has being strictly intuitive, impromptu and spontaneous.

And yet everything in nature exists because of first structure.
There is disciplined sequence that is followed for a seed to become a flower or a tree.
There is a set rhythm to the waves, they seem fierce and chaotic and yet they have a structured pattern.

Seasons follow a template and even the free flying birds have rules for their migration.

The sun and moon have an exact structure to how they move and create our experience of day and night.

The moon, herself, has a precision to her waxing and waning. It is exact, structured and measurable.

And yet we resist structure and discipline, defining it as confining and repressive.
In reality, structure breeds creativity and is the essential container for manifestation.

In Ayurveda, (a feminine science) for genuine health to take hold, the body (structure) needs to be stabilised and grounded. This happens through structure and daily discipline. It is only when the stability of the body is achieved that we are able for a more inner and penetrating exploration in to what the Self actually is.
As the Self is the basis of all creativity, contact with the Self leads to ongoing beauty, freedom and inspiration.

No seeds bloom without first roots.
We need structured, firm roots to blossom into the depths and genius of our humanity.

Ayurveda implicitly teaches we are made of Nature and as such when we follow the “rules” of Nature we too can tap into our creative potential of vast beauty and harmony.

We are heading towards a new moon and one doesn’t need to be an astrologer to sense things are tense. Globally, collectively, and for most of us personally, the struggle is intense.

None of us are immune to strife, stress, or even great loss.
Negotiating these past few months, I realised in my own life, the times when I was facing the most difficult struggles, it wasn’t the circumstances that hurt the most, it was that I chose to abandon myself in the times of my greatest need.

It was the loss of connection to myself that hurt the most. Even though the circumstances may have been painful or challenging, what I needed was my presence more than ever. What I needed to know was that I had my back no matter what. And perhaps the real trauma of those experiences was I could not turn to myself as a soft landing pad amongst the rubble.

The knee jerk reaction to pain is to shut down until the situation passes . . But the survival tactic to shut down numbs access to the one thing we need the most, ourselves .

Staying fully open, present, and engaged with ourselves in every life circumstance is the practice. Can we remain loving and compassionate with ourselves when our external lives might resemble a train wreck? Can we stay with ourselves when presented with worse case scenarios?

Bad things happening to us is not a reflection that we are less worthy, quite the opposite, it is when we are most worthy of all the love we are capable of giving to ourselves. ❤️

Life is going to life. None of us can control the outcome, but we can choose to respond by showing up, arms open, fully engaged, and still practice self love.

So here I am showing up on the mat for myself as one of the many ways I continue to choose to care and love myself amongst the chaos. 💜

Photo taken an the end of a very challenging week. Experiencing both health and personal issues and my usual mojo is nowhere to be found.

I don’t feel good all the time. And I would bet money if we were all honest, most of us know that feeling good 24/7 isn’t reality.

I had a client ask me a fantastic question, “when will I feel like doing this? “ in regards to some of the Ayurvedic recommendations I had made. And the truth is, if we wait till everything is going our way and we feel amazing, before we practice self care, then we will never get started.

The powerful habits we create and stick to are the ones we practice when we don’t feel like it. The habits we practice when we’re stressed, overwhelmed, or maybe just downright low are the habits that stick for a lifetime.

Nine times out of ten my feedback from clients is when they started making changes when they felt fabulous, they never stuck to them. Why? Because they let their mood dictate their efforts. The days and maybe even weeks they didn’t feel great, were stressed out and busy, they dropped all of their new habits. .
And then told themselves, there’s no point now.

What I have learned from personally practicing Ayurveda is that I don’t always feel like doing my Ayurvedic routine, I don’t always want to. And in those moments when I choose to do it anyways, when it’s hard and I have no motivation, is the most powerful time to practice.

Choosing me when I don’t even feel like me creates a solid unwavering resilience. I tap into a strength that is not affected by strife, stress, or roller coaster change. A strength that can withstand my changing hormones, life struggles, and relationship dynamics.

And it changes my brain chemistry.

“emotional discomfort of exertion is normal and necessary for growth. Overcoming obstacles builds mental and emotional stamina, a quality often referred to as resilience, which is a better predictor of success than IQ or talent alone, according to research by psychologist Angela Duckworth.”

Learning to care for oneself consistently is a life long practice and Ayurveda provides the perfect foundation.

I have loved Ayurveda since 2001. I have been studying and practicing Ayurveda since 2003.

I first qualified in Ayurveda in 2008. I followed up my training by traveling to India to learn how to give Ayurvedic treatments by staying in an Ayurvedic Panchakarma clinic in 2011.

I offered Ayurvedic consultations and treatments in both Wexford and Dublin, Ireland since 2013. I made two more trips to India to experience panchakarma and to study panchakarma treatments.

I learned how to make Ayurvedic oils and made those until my move to Sweden.

In 2018, I focused on studying Women’s Health according to Ayurveda.

Ayurveda is a not just a love of mine, but a way of Life. 🌸

I have changed location but my love for Ayurveda remains the same.

Today, in my new location, I got to share my love of Ayurveda AND what Ayurveda has to offer to women’s health.

I am equally passionate about Ayurveda as I am giving women as much information and tools to work with their own bodies, to understand their own hormones, and the knowledge to know that health and balance is always possible. ❤️

It is a privilege every time to sit with women and I wanted to say thank you to everyone that attended. ❤️ I get to share my love and meet amazing women, it’s always good medicine.

Thank you.

On December 13, St. Lucia’s Day is widely celebrated. A beautiful celebration which includes girls dressed in white with candle crowns accompanied by star boys and gingerbread men. In modern Sweden, St. Lucia honors the martyr Lucia who fed persecuted Christians.

Previously, in Norse tradition, and under the Julian calendar, December 13 was the shortest day of the year. The long night was dark and dangerous. Bonfires were lit and in order to stay awake, saffron buns were made and eaten.
Baked in an s shape to symbolise the light and the sun, and always made with saffron.

The Norse traditions were added to this now Christian feast day, and saffron buns are still made and eaten today.

How did the Norse know saffron was so powerful? When it originates in places like Iran, India and Morocco. Surely, the knowledge must have traveled along trade routes.

Ayurveda is thousands of years old. In Ayurveda, saffron heals all three Doshas. It is a nervine tonic, it supports fertility in both men & women, it improves Agni, it burns away toxins, creates radiant skin, is a cardiac tonic, improves eyesight and immunity. And so much more, it is a powerhouse of a herb.

Spiritually, it represents purity, prosperity, and the light. It is linked to the Sun and wards off negativity and enhances one’s mind & spirit.
It has been used for thousands of years in Hinduism, Buddhism, and Ayurveda for meditation and ritual.

And thousands of miles away, in Scandinavia, the Norse were consuming saffron to celebrate the light’s power over dark, protection, and the return of the sun and hope. 🌞 Sun knowledge passed on between cultures and traditions.

I’m an Ayurveda therapist with Swedish ancestry and this is such a beautiful synchronicity for me to witness. ❤️

Food is incredibly powerful and it’s deeper meaning is often hidden in traditions. Connecting to the deeper meaning of both food and tradition brings healing into our modern day lives. 🎄🌟

This workshop will cover the relationship between the moon and the female body. For thousands of years, the woman’s body naturally synced with the phases of the moon, and many societies lived according to a lunar calendar. As we became more separated from nature, this connection has been downplayed and even ignored.

In this workshop, I will outline how the female body naturally reflects the phases of the moon, especially in our hormones, estrogen and progesterone. I will also specifically explain the function of both hormones and their effect on our mind, body, and psyche.

I will show how the menstrual cycle beautifully represents not only the cycle of nature, but also the phases of the moon. I will also discuss the benefits of a moon practice for every woman, in menopause and beyond.

I will also share how all women benefit on every level when they begin to honor and live according to their cyclical nature. 🌙💫
